Winking Lizard World Tour Update

by Renee on February 12, 2011

I’m just over a month into my Winking Lizard World Tour of Beers for 2011, and I’m on track to easily finish all 100 by the end of the year. Really looking forward to the half-way gift as well!

Here are the beers I’ve had that have counted toward my total thus far (11):

*Alltech Kentucky Bourbon
Heavy Seas Loose Cannon
Dogfish Head 90 Minute
Founders Endurance+
Left Hand Jr Blackbelt
*Left Hand Milk Stout+
Ommegang Hennepin
Sierra Nevada Glissade
Stone Cali-Belgique
Thirsty Dog Stud Service Stout
*New Holland The Poet

* Favorites +Collectible glasses

I would order any of the ones I’ve had so far again. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to these two, coming a little later this month:

Dogfish Head’s Palo Santo Marron returns on February 18th at all Winking Lizard locations. This big, bold brown ale is aged in Palo Santo wood tanks that help impart big caramel and vanilla properties to the beer. The 12% ABV gives this beer a very warming finish, great for the month of February in Ohio.

 Goose Island’s Pepe Nero is a farmhouse-style brewed with black peppercorns. With a roasty sweetness and earthy flavor it finishes with a black pepper spiciness (February 25th).

We know how to keep warm during the winter months in Ohio! How are you doing on your tour? What have been your favorite beers on the tour to date?
