Honoring Jack at #CBC2011

by Renee on March 26, 2011

Today has been an amazing day, and I’m still processing it, but I wanted to post a few photos here on my blog. This morning I had the pleasure of joining Maureen Ogle and my dad Jack McAuliffe on stage on the last full day of #CBC2011.

I said a few things about social media, and Maureen gave a great talk about keeping history in mind as we continue to brew great beer into the future. And then Jack held court. It was a thing of beauty to see him share his experiences with such an eager and appreciative audience. Thank you to everyone at the Brewer’s Association for giving him the stage. Today rocked.

Thank you for supplying a forum for him. The top of the heap, this is where he belongs.

I’m really glad to see that Jack is getting his just due. I was his neighbor in the old apartment building on E. Napa Street in Sonoma when he was working on New Albion. Little did I know that he would become a legend! Congratulations and best of luck.

Seeing Jack monthly at homebrewing meetings and then seeing him in person at CBC was quite the comparison for me. Humble Jack and then King Jack. He truly is a great guy. A man of few words, but when he speaks, those words pack a punch.
