Craft Brewers Conference 2021 in Denver!

by Renee on May 6, 2021

Denver It has been five years since I’ve had the pleasure of attending the Brewers Association annual Craft Brewers Conference¬†(Philly in 2016). As America works toward getting as many people as possible vaccinated against COVID-19, events are being scheduled once again–and the BA has pulled the trigger and opened registration for in-person attendance to this year’s event! Now that I’m fully vaccinated, I’m making plans to attend in Denver in September! CBC2021 was previously scheduled for San Diego in the second quarter, but that just didn’t seem viable, and so the plan was scrapped. While I love San Diego, I’m also a big fan of being Rocky Mountain high in Colorado, especially in the beautiful fall months, and I can’t wait!

The BA is taking precautions and has set expectations around social distancing, mask wearing, limited registration for events, and rules such as no hugging (that’s going to be a tough one!). The Colorado Convention Center will have plenty of hand sanitizer around, and one-way walkways. As I made my flights for the event, I was seriously giddy as I haven’t traveled by plane since February of 2020, and getting back into the air feels this much closer to normal. Industry friends, I hope to see you there! (I can’t promise there won’t be hugging.)

This year is the perfect time for me to jump back into attending industry events as New Albion Brewing Company is on the verge of making another run at relaunching the iconic beers that my father Jack McAuliffe originally released in Sonoma in the fall of 1976. I’ve been hinting that there is big news coming, and believe me, there is… hang in there just a little longer, New Albion fans! My beer glass is running over with excitement, and I can’t wait to share it with you all!

Cheers to the return of travel, beer events, and New Albion!
