BrewDog USA Annual General Mayhem 2021

by Renee on August 31, 2021

As part of the BrewDog USA family now–I thought it would be fun to check out their Annual General Mayhem beer and music festival, held on their brewery grounds in Canal Winchester, Ohio. My bestie, Cami, joined me for the fun–and even though the day was hotter than the surface of the sun, we had a great time!

Our first stop was the BrewDog beer truck, “Trailer Swift”– where we found New Albion Pale Ale on tap as the Ode to the OG Pale Ale… it hasn’t been officially released yet, so it was given an alias. It tasted great –especially drinkable on such a hot day! I talked to some folks who said they were enjoying it too. Not gonna lie, Cami and I spent most of the day inside the bar at the brewery because it was just so hot and sweaty out. But we enjoyed chatting up fellow beer lovers and tasting a variety of beers, and a few ciders too–I especially loved one of the ciders in slushy form, with a gin float on top. Everything we ate from the brewery menu all day was delicious as well–I highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower, and the pretzel that’s as big as your head.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting up with BrewDog founder James Watt–we snapped a quick selfie, and I gave him the iconic photo of Jack with his homemade brewing equipment from his brewery days–James really appreciated that. He even snapped a quick selfie of us with his own phone–he’s excited about our beer partnership as well.

Cami and I stuck around Columbus on Sunday, and kicked around High Street, bought some new Buckeye gear, and enjoyed some to-go margaritas. We stopped into the BrewDog Short North bar as well, great spot!

Looking forward to the official release of New Albion Pale Ale in the coming month–stay tuned! Cheers~
