Right now I’m counting down to two things: a trip to Northern California, and Cleveland Beer Week. One dovetails right into the other, so I’m planning on a stretch of some really good craft beer tasting this month. It’s my very own personal Brewer’s Daughter Beer WeekS.

Paul and I are heading out to the West Coast for a couple of things: some brewery hopping, and a work-sponsored event featuring Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma) and Mollie Katzen, as well as a visit with friends. It’s a lot to squeeze in just four days, but we’re going to do our best.

When we return, Cleveland Beer Week will already be underway (sorry to miss the first couple of days, but don’t worry, I’ll catch up). There is so much going on, I don’t even know where to start. I’ll have to choose events on a day-to-day basis, depending on what’s going on at work/home.

The most thrilling part for me is that I’ve been invited to participate in Son of BREWzilla on that final Saturday–Northeast Ohio’s HUGE home brewing competition. Then of course the whole week caps off with the BREWzilla party. To say I’m excited is really an understatement. I hope I’ll get to meet a lot of you fellow Cleveland-craft brew fans. Of course I’ll be blogging and tweeting along. I probably shouldn’t drink and post, but I will. Stay tuned!
